Celebrate Cannabis announced that it has a new founding sponsor, Kine, Inc., a Los Angeles-based cannabis company that makes sublinguals. Kine, which committed $5000 to Celebrate Cannabis, will relocate its operations to Central Oregon from California sometime in late spring or early summer of 2018.

Celebrate Cannabis also welcomes new founding members at the $1000 level, including ColeBreit Engineering, Dutchie, Harpers Highlands, Swamp Fox Farms, Clifton Cannabis Law, Tokyo Starfish and Oregrown.

Jennifer Clifton, president of the board of Celebrate Cannabis, said, “I am delighted to welcome our new members and sponsors to Celebrate Cannabis. We are seeing a wide variety of businesses join, from licensees to ancillary businesses. It’s creating a wonderfully diverse group.”

ColeBreit Engineering provides engineering services to a wide variety of industries, including the cannabis industry. Dutchie is the creator of an online ordering platform for cannabis retailers. Harpers Highlands and Swamp Fox Farms are both cannabis cultivators. Tokyo Starfish and Oregrown are two of the top cannabis seed-to-sale companies in the state, and Clifton Cannabis Law provides legal services to companies in the cannabis space.

Bobby Riganati, Founder/CEO, of Kine, Inc., said, “When considering cities and states for the expansion of Kine, Bend kept coming up again and again. Our primary focus in determining a new home base was not only how established the regulations and licensing processes were, but how supportive and involved the community is in regard to industry growth. In addition, we’re excited about the new adventure and quality of life that Bend offers outside of business!”

Kine will have a significant impact on the local economy:

  • The company will hire 5-10 people at the outset. It will also immediately start hiring local construction and tradespeople for the buildout of its facilities, followed by adding 3-5 part-time employees, whom the company may transition to full-time when appropriate, and expand the company further from there.
  • Kine will support the local cannabis industry by purchasing locally grown, high quality flower to make its sublinguals.
  • Another venture of the team is Kine Threads, an apparel company not directly related to cannabis venture, and their goal is to start additional non-cannabis related companies in Central Oregon in support of the economy and community as a whole.
