Deschutes Children’s Foundation (DCF) announced a community service project in partnership with the Mt. Bachelor Rotary Club. Rotary members volunteered their time and energy to complete a seasonal outdoor cleanup at DCF’s Rosie Bareis Community Campus, ensuring the space remains safe, welcoming and beautiful for children, families and nonprofit partners who use it daily.

The Rosie Bareis Campus is home to five nonprofit partner organizations that provide essential services for children and families in Bend including CASA of Central Oregon, Community Solutions, KIDS Center, SMART Reading and Thrive Central Oregon. By supporting this project, Mt. Bachelor Rotary is helping DCF fulfill its mission to provide space and support where nonprofits succeed at helping children and families thrive.

“This project is a wonderful example of what happens when community members come together to support children and families,” said Cassi MacQueen, executive director of Deschutes Children’s Foundation. “We are so grateful to Mt. Bachelor Rotary for their time, care and commitment to helping us maintain a safe and welcoming environment at the Rosie Bareis Campus.”

Mt. Bachelor Rotary Club President, Kevin Tucker, shared his enthusiasm: “Rotary is about service above self, and projects like this allow us to make a tangible difference right here in our community. Supporting Deschutes Children’s Foundation aligns perfectly with our values, and we are proud to play a small part in the important work happening at the Rosie Bareis Campus.”

The partnership reflects both organizations’ shared commitment to community service, collaboration and creating opportunities for children and families to thrive in Central Oregon.
