Oregon Country Beef and Newport Avenue Market will celebrate their decades-long partnership and shared commitment to providing their customers with natural beef products that come from environmentally friendly and socially responsible ranching practices by hosting a Bodacious BBQ Bash on Saturday, June 27 from 11am to 5pm. Oregon Country Beef cattle have a 100 percent vegetarian diet and are completely antibiotic and hormone free.

“We have a long-standing partnership with Newport Avenue Market because of our shared values and commitment to helping maintain a healthy environment, healthy animals, healthy diets, healthy people, and healthy communities,” said Stacy Davies, Marketing Director for Oregon Country Beef. “The Bodacious BBQ Bash provides us with an opportunity to meet Newport Avenue Market customers and thank them for their role in making sustainability possible.”

The ranchers will be at Newport Avenue Market talking to guests about Oregon Country Beef’s graze-well/raise-well principles and guests can ask the ranchers questions, learn to rope, win a Traeger Grill, and enjoy 50 percent off Oregon Country Beef’s New York Steaks, Saturday only. In addition, ranchers will be giving away Oregon Country Beef hotdogs and steak samples.

“Newport Avenue Market has a long-standing commitment to developing partnerships with local vendors who share the same core values,” said Greg Donnelly, Newport Avenue Market meat manager. “We’re excited to partner with them for this fun event and allow our customers to meet the ranchers behind the meat. The concept of knowing where your food comes from, and that it’s locally raised, is very important to us.”

In Central Oregon, Newport Avenue market is the only place you will find Oregon Country Beef. Newport Avenue Market became Oregon Country Beef’s first customer when the McCormack Ranch in nearby Brothers, Ore. supplied the very first beef steer in 1986.

Today, Oregon Country Beef, a trusted Oregon-based company, is one of the nation’s leaders in natural beef production. The cooperative now consists of nearly 100 family ranches in and around Oregon. These ranching families own more than 100,000 mother cows managed on millions of acres of private and public lands. And, they have developed important working relationships with leading restaurateurs and retailers across the nation. These ranches establish individual programs to fulfill Oregon Country Beef’s high standards of environmental sustainability, practice “Raised Well” principles with their cattle and consistently provide superior tasting product.
