The Center Foundation, a Central Oregon nonprofit dedicated to providing sports medicine services to high school students, welcomes a new Junior Varsity-level Community Partner, Cross Dot Digital & Creative.

“Sustaining support from community partnerships is critical in allowing us to continue to provide highly trained medical professionals to manage youth sports injuries and concussions across Central Oregon,” said Sonja Donohue, executive director of The Center Foundation. “We are thrilled to partner with Cross Dot Digital & Creative and be a part of their significant community outreach vision.”

Funding from the partnership will help The Center Foundation support its sports medicine program in Oregon’s high schools in Bend, Sisters, La Pine, Madras, Culver and Prineville. The Center Foundation provides certified athletic trainers to these high schools to deliver medical services to young athletes at no cost to students or their families. The sports medicine program ensures that students receive immediate and ongoing injury care, concussion baseline testing, onsite concussion evaluation and post-concussion care, referrals to appropriate medical professionals as needed, and injury prevention education. Funding from the Junior Varsity Partnership will directly benefit more than 5,000 children in these communities annually.

“We are proud to be one of The Center Foundation’s partners,” said Michelle Hart, CEO of Cross Digital & Creative. “Several people in our organization have kids in sports, and the peace of mind we get knowing that the foundation’s athletic trainers are in our schools watching over and caring for our kids is huge! Giving back to local organizations like The Center Foundation is how we follow our mission — and our hearts.”
