About the speaker: Jeff received his undergraduate degrees in Business Economics and Law and Society from the University of California at Santa Barbara where he was a Scottish Rite scholar. He received his legal education from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1988. After law school he worked in private law practice for 15 years, focusing on litigation. He joined the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (BOLI) in 2002 as an agency prosecutor, and in 2009 he became a part of the Employer Assistance team where he teaches a variety of employment law subjects and best practices to guide employers, supervisors, managers, and human resources professionals. He also edits handbooks for employers, and answers telephone and email inquiries about Wage and Hour and Civil Rights issues for the business community. Jeff lives in McMinnville with his wife, Tiffany, and various critters.
